Ahad means unique. As unique as you are!
I have always believed in the magic of fragrance, as surreal as it may seem. The purity of jasmine flowers wrapped in a white damp cloth by my grandfather and placed under the fan-filled the whole room with an aroma unparalleled to anything I have experienced in my life. The sandal incense being lit up on cool fresh mornings, the whiff of cinnamon and saffron emanating through the house from the kitchen, that mitti ki khushboo which makes me feel at home…the list goes on!
As a young woman in Africa, I discovered natural blocks of soap and my love story with aromas resumed. At 52, my new baby “Ahad” was born. The reason it was unique was there was barely anything in the market that could guarantee a handmade tag without a huge price attached to it. At Ahad, I decided to change the market. We started creating handmade products using high-quality essential oils; we never sold for the sake of selling.
Like a baby, I have nurtured Ahad with the love, energy and passion of a doting mother. All-day and all night, my dreams took shape as I experimented, curated and expanded the list from soaps to creams, scrubs, shampoos… We started out with ten clients and we have considerably multiplied through word of mouth and respectful coverage that has been given to our brand over the last few years. I dream of a place that is synonymous with aroma, skincare, Handwoven 100% linen stoles and exquisite accessories like stone jewellery and accents like brass pieces that are unique. As the portfolio of products grows, I know that I could not have done it without the unending support of my clients at Ahad; they are my inspiration to grow, develop and go beyond.
My travel and experiences have given me stories to share with Yuvraan, my grandson and now also my clients. A background in clinical hypnotherapy and aura analysis enables a space free of judgment and my studio is my sacred place where you will always find comfort in chai and conversations.
