Almond ka Rahasya!

Kabhi meetha, kabhi karwa – yeh hai badaam ki khoobi. Some of you may twitch your nose but here’s something that’s loved by many!!

Eating almonds became part of my routine when my father was posted to Kabul, Afghanistan. The first snow in our lawns, the barfeeli hawa and popping almonds to keep our body warm, just as the locals did, became a ritual. My mother would put a handful in my pocket as I boarded the school bus and this continues as I get close to 60! Well now, my husband remembers to soak them every night. You see 14 here ( 7 are for him

) and that’s the first thing we eat each morning. The ritual continues!!

Today I am writing about badaam – the almond soap from the Tvach collection. Composed of glycerine, essential oil, almond oil, badaam has anti-aging properties, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, keeps the skin supple and toned. Ideal food for dry skin, almond oil enhances the appearance of the skin making it soft and smooth. At Ahad, we use sweet and bitter almond oils in the soaps. They are available on the shelves throughout the year for all who have dry skin.

In winters it is beneficial for all skin types. Always remember- the more you try to remove oil, the more your body produces. So if we remove all elements of oil from our skin, it can lead to early wrinkles and a dull skin. Almond soaps can also be customized for exfoliation by adding almond shell powder and the minimum order is 6 bars. Since we have customised orders in hand at all times, a period of 2 weeks is required to work as each soap is hand crafted.

One design can be boring, I love to see the same soap in different shapes and sizes on the shelves of Ahad.Our clients have gifted them at special occasions like birthday parties and baby showers. The excitement on the children’s faces as they receive butterfly, cradle, baby feet shaped soaps as return gifts is priceless!

Staying with the theme of the badaam story, ahad’s Rahasya collection has badaam cream packaged in 50 ml & 100 ml environmentally friendly glass jars. The hand and face creams keep the skin hydrated, moisturised and works magically on dry skin.
